Paddington (Circle, Hammersmith & City) 240 / 270

The first tracks of the London Underground network were laid between Paddington (Bishop’s Road) and Farringdon Street. The same tracks form a section of the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines.

The station opened as Paddington (Bishop’s Road) on 10 January 1863, and was renamed in 1948.
