Archway 209 / 270

Opened in 1907 and designed by Leslie Green in his signature ox-blood glazed brick, Archway was originally named Highgate.

On the service board by the ticket barriers you’ll find a ‘Quote of the Day’, chosen by members of staff to inspire passengers.

Nearby is Highgate Cemetery containing the tomb of Karl Marx. You can also visit Waterlow Park, which hosts outdoor theatre and music performances in the summer and is home to Lauderdale House, a community arts and education centre offering a wide variety of performances, workshops, exhibitions, concerts, children’s shows, crafts and antique fairs.
