Chalk Farm 178 / 270

With just under five million passengers in 2011, Chalk Farm is one of the busiest stations on the Edgware branch of the Northern line.

Opened in 1907, it is the closest Tube station to the upmarket Primrose Hill area. Current famous residents include Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, Kate Moss, Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton, Hugh Laurie, Kate Winslet, Simon Pegg and Sean Bean.

Visit The Roundhouse, a Grade II-listed former railway engine shed that has been converted into a performing arts and concert venue.
