Farringdon Station is located in Clerkenwell. It is soon to become an integral part of the new transport infrastructures Thameslink and Crossrail, which are scheduled to open in 2018. As the only place where passengers can change between the two, Farringdon will become one of the busiest stations in London.
The station was opened in 1863 on the original Metropolitan Railway, and the building has been preserved to maintain the early architecture.
The British Postal Museum, the Museum of The Order of St John and Smithfield Market are nearby.
The Labyrinth has been reinstalled at the station.
