This station was once the subject of quiz trivia questions as the only London Underground station whose name doesn’t have a common letter with the word ‘mackerel’ (the newly opened Hoxton station on the East London line extension is now another). The station also appeared in the music video for Soft Cell’s ‘Bedsitter’ in the 1980s.

Visit Abbey Road Studios and the world’s most famous zebra crossing where the Beatles album cover for their ‘Abbey Road’ album was shot.
