Croxley station originally opened in 1925 as Croxley Green, but was renamed in 1949.

Croxley Green village hosts the annual ‘Revels on The Green’ village fair, which includes a traditional maypole dance. A windmill built in 1860 still exists today as residential accommodation.

Croxley Green features in Metro-land, the 1973 television documentary by John Betjeman.
