Turnham Green, the recreational space from which the station apparently takes its name, is in fact located much closer to Chiswick Park Tube station. It is, however, located close to Turnham Green Terrace, at the eastern side of Chiswick Common.
When walking past the station, the aroma of freshly cut flowers is overwhelming. Wheeler’s, the florists responsible, have provided props for both James Bond and Batman movies.
