Royal Oak 241 / 270

The station opened as Royal Oak on 30 October 1871.

The Royal Oak district and the Tube station take their name from an old public house, now named The Porchester, whose entrance was accessed by a wooden plank over the Westbourne River.

I am sorry to report that the labyrinth at Royal Oak had been defaced by silver paint / permanent marker when I visited it on Friday 30th June. I hope that no more have been vandalised.
