Shepherd’s Bush Market

246 / 270

Shepherd’s Bush Market 246 / 270

The station originally opened as Shepherd’s Bush in 1864, and the Central line station at the other side of the green, which opened in 1900, was also called Shepherd’s Bush, so there were two stations with the same name, despite their distance from each other of 480 metres. This remained the case until 12 0ctober 2008, when the first station was reopened as Shepherd’s Bush Market, after the popular open-air market that runs parallel to the track.
