The Circle line has only served Hammersmith since late 2009. The Metropolitan railway originally ran between Richmond and Hammersmith and travelled along a viaduct, parts of which are still visible from the Piccadilly and District lines.

The station regularly appears as a setting in films and videos, including scenes in Adulthood (2008) and Lily Allen’s ‘LDN’.
