Golders Green is an original terminus of the Northern line. If you stand on the platforms and look south, you can see three tunnels cut into the hillside: two are running lines, the third is a dead end that’s only used when shunting trains in the depot next to the station.
There’s a ghost station between Golders Green and Hampstead on the Northern Line. It was due to be called North End, but never opened.
Adjacent to the station is Golders Green Hippodrome, home to the BBC Concert Orchestra for many years.
