In episode 3 (‘Ice Age’) of the BBC series British Isles: A Natural History it’s revealed that in the last Ice Age, Finchley Road Tube station’s site was on the edge of a glacier.
Visit the Freud Museum at 20 Maresfield Gardens, the house in which Sigmund Freud and his family lived after they’d fled Austria from the Nazis in 1938. The study of the great psychoanalyst is preserved exactly as it was at the time of his death, and his collection of over 2,000 antiques is also on display.
Camden Arts Centre, a venue for contemporary visual art, is nearby too.
