Ealing Common originally opened in 1879, but was replaced in 1931 with a new building designed by Charles Holden, which features a tall heptagonal ticket hall with glazed screens to all sides.
Ealing Common itself, a conservation area, is a large open space with Victorian chestnut trees, large oak trees and rose beds, and is used as a venue for concerts and events.
