Station entrance
Now a Grade II-listed building, Covent Garden opened in 1907 and was designed by Leslie Green with his classic red oxblood tiling.
The station is said to be haunted by the ghost of actor William Terriss, who met an untimely death nearby in 1897.
The journey between Covent Garden and Leicester Square takes 20 seconds, the shortest distance on the London Underground.
Covent Garden is a lively shopping area in London that also contains the London Transport Museum and the Royal Opera House.
