Designed by Charles Holden and originally called Trinity Road when it opened in October 1930, the station was renamed Tooting Bec on 1 October 1950.
Nearby is Tooting Bec lido, which holds over a million gallons of water and has the largest surface area of any swimming pool in the UK. Brad Pitt visited the pool whilst filming Guy Ritchie’s gangster film, Snatch.

Look for the original Signal Repeaters along the platforms, for the assistance of the “Gate Men” on a curved platform. Other stations on this line have similar. Enjoy.
