Upminster is the easternmost station on the London Tube network. It was opened in May 1885, and expanded and modernised in 1932.
Enjoy the great outdoors at locations near this station like the Thames Chase Forest Centre, where visitors and school groups learn about initiatives to regenerate woodland areas in South Essex and East London through walking tours and interactive displays. It also hosts a monthly farmers’ market.
Nearby is the Upminster Tithe Barn Museum of Nostalgia, which houses 14,500 agricultural and domestic utilitarian objects from Roman times to the present.
