Mill Hill East 213 / 270

Mill Hill East is a small station with one platform at the end of a single-track branch line.

If you travel to Mill Hill East, you’ll have done the exact opposite of going underground, since you’ll have travelled over the Dollis Brook Viaduct, which, at 18 metres above ground level, is the highest point on the network.

The name of the area originates from the name Myllehill, recorded in 1547, which appears to mean ‘hill with a windmill’.

Start a walk from Mill Hill village along one of the many footpaths that will take you across Totteridge Valley and through Darlands nature reserve or through Barnet Gate Wood.
