The name Kingsbury means ‘The King’s Manor’. Originally part of the Stanmore branch of the Metropolitan line when it opened in 1932, the station was transferred to the Bakerloo line in 1939, and finally to the Jubilee line in 1979.

Take a walk around the local area and look out for distinctive homes designed by architect Ernest Trobridge in the 1930s. He used innovative materials to make extraordinary creations such as blocks of flats designed to look like castles.
