I’d been thinking of the mind wandering off during a Tube journey, eyes closed, drifting out of the crowded city into some aqueous or natural space, so for the print I decided to use my Freischwimmer image, with its sense of freeflowing motion, and to fuse it with the amazing TfL 150 marquee. For the poster, I’ve left the Freischwimmer image unobstructed and the logo ‘floats’ back to its original position. The bold, red alien body of the logo is a potent symbol of urbanity, and to see it embedded in an imaginary green landscape poses an interesting contradiction for Londoners”
