Since 2004, Art on the Underground has commissioned a series of works by contemporary artists especially for the Tube map cover. The films present interviews by Jared Schiller with Emma Kay, Gary Hume, David Shrigley, Yinka Shonibare, Liam Gillick, Jeremy Deller, Cornelia Parker, Mark Wallinger, Pae White, Paul Noble, Barbara Kruger, Eva Rothschild, Michael Landy and Tracey Emin, who have all been commissioned for the Tube map cover series. The interviews offer new insights into the artworks created for the pocket Tube map cover series. Shown as part of the London Transport Museum’s 2012 exhibition, Mind the Map: Inspiring Art, Design and Cartography.
