Mark Dion has designed a poster that will appear around the London Underground from August to October. The poster features two from a set of four lithographs that Dion made in collaboration with artist Robert Williams. The images are of cyclogenic trees, 18th-century biblical trees that the artists changed into four family trees: one of fictional beasts, one of alchemists, one of fictional places and one of naturalists. The poster will appear at random on the Underground. This project is a collaboration between the South London Gallery and London Underground’s Platform for Art programme.
This project coincides with Microcosmographia.
