Zoorama: Week 7, Bittern

This week’s recording is of the booming song of the Bittern. The animal was in a reedbed in an area of marshland. In the background are the calls of the Reed bunting, Black-headed gull, moorhen and mallard. The weather was very calm and still. The recording was made in Lancashire, England on the twenty first of May 1975.
