This week’s recording includes a cooing ripple from the group of Whooper Swans. This is a special migration call that is only made during the few days prior to their migration. The recording was made in County Cork in Ireland at four thirty in the afternoon on the fifteenth of April 1978. In the background are the calls of Curlew, Mallard and Little Grebe. There were strong winds that day.
