This week’s recording is the call of a single Grey Heron. The bird was on an estuary, surrounded by cliffs. In the background are the calls of the Greenshank, the Skylark and the Shelduck. The recording was made at a quarter to four in the afternoon on the fifth of July 1985 near Laxford Bridge in Scotland, by William Sinclair. The weather was calm and mild.
