Sula Chance was born in Trinidad in the West Indies and came to England in the 1960s to become a nurse. She has had a lifelong interest in painting and having brought up a family and retired from nursing, she is now pursuing new aims in art. The subjects of her recent work include the seascapes of the Caribbean coast, the flora and fauna of the tropical rainforest, and the exuberance of Carnival.
