For the first time on the Underground, beginning 16 April, customers will be treated to a free exhibition of artists’ work throughout the network.

The unique poster campaign – a Platform for Art initiative called Go to the Gallery – sees a number of London-based galleries contributing 39 works chosen for reproduction.

This project will bring together many works from the capital’s vigorous art scene underground for the first time.

The posters will be displayed on sites and stations never before used by the Platform for Art programme. Those spaces will include redundant retail units, blank walls and hoardings.

Go to the Gallery will put the city’s emerging and established artists in front of the three million people who use the Tube every day.
